Karak Highway, the mysterious and haunted highway in Pahang, Malaysia?

      • F0dd
    • The Karak Highway that connects Kuala Lumpur to Genting Highlands is one of the creepiest highways in Malaysia. Its dark, long, windy and accident-prone roads have attracted a host of ghost stories that send shivers down the spine of motorists who drive by
    • Karak Highway was first built in 1970 and first opened to the public in 1977. This highway connects Kuala Lumpur to Karak and about 60.0 km away. This highway has a pair of tunnels in the famous resort of Genting Highlands. Among the most popular is an accident on January 20, 1990, in which 17 people were killed, including 11 people when FRU member suffered collision between a vehicle with a truck, a bus and 10 cars
  • Many creepy sightings and ghost stories have been said about Karak Highway. These are the few that have remained on the minds of Malaysians:
  • 1. The family car that broke down by the highway

      • B624
    • It was the festive season and just like any other Malaysian, a young couple and their baby were travelling on the Karak Highway at night headed home. Everything was fine until they reached a lonely stretch on the highway and their car broke down. The husband was surprised; he made sure to service the car before their 'balik kampung' trip. He stopped the car by the side of the road to check the engine while his wife and baby waited inside. He tried fixing the car, but nothing worked. And so he waited, hoping a kind samaritan would stop and offer them help. It is balik kampung season after all, there should be cars passing by.
    • However, 20 minutes passed and there was not a soul to be seen. As it was getting late, he only choice he had left was to go to the nearest phone booth to call for help. He was worried, but he had no choice but to leave his family waiting alone in the car. "Lock the doors and take care," he told his wife before leaving. She watched as he walked away, trying to ignore her worries.
    • Minutes passed and soon hours, but her husband was still gone. She waited and waited. Suddenly, a police patrol car approached her. Two policemen got out of the car and walked towards her vehicle. They told her to quietly step out of the vehicle and stressed that she should not look around while she did so. The wife carried her baby and walked with the policemen. When she was at a safe distance, she looked back at her car and blood drained from her face. Her husband's bodiless head was lying on top of the car. Other versions say her husband was headless on the car, with a banshee-like creature feasting on him. It had banged on the car roof. She did not hear a thing.
  • 2. The mysterious yellow Volkswagen

      • Dbcb
    • Have you seen the yellow Volkswagen on the Karak Highway? Many motorists reported meeting this ghostly car, only at night. It was said that the yellow Volkswagen will block your lane. First it will move very slowly, forcing you to overtake it. Once you have overtaken it and continue moving along, you wil notice the same yellow Volkswagen in front of your. It'll drive very slowly, once again challenging you to overtake it. Overtake it again, and after a short while you will see the same yellow Volkswagen driving slowly in front of you. As long as you keep overtaking this car, you see it in front of you again, ang again, and again.
       says.com
    • They say if you look closely in the car, you would notice that there is no one in the driver's seat. If you see the yellow Volkswagen on the Karak Highway, it's best not to overtake it as it will keep reappearing in front of you, potentially luring you into an accident. If you are lucky, it would speed up and disappear into the darkness.
  • 3. The lost school boy

      • 157a
    • If you see a school boy wandering on the side of the dark and lonely highway, looking lost and desolated, be careful. The boy would be looking for his mother, asking "Have you seen my mother?" over and over again.
    • As the legend goes, there was once an accident that involved a young boy and his mother. The mother, who was driving, was flung out of the car on impact while the son remained in the passenger's seat. The windscreen and glass pierced into his eyes. He lost his mother, and until today, it is said that he is still wandering the highway in search of his mama.
  • 4. The flying pontianak

      • 3af6
    • There have been sightings of a pontianak flying on the highway at night. The pontianak is believed to be a woman who had died of childbirth and harbors immense hatred and anger. She preys on men and is said to tear their organs apart. Pontianak could come in the form of a beautiful young woman in white to seduce the men. Some motorists claimed to have seen a beautiful woman on the highway who could sometimes make heads turn and she could be by the side of the road, asking for a lift. No one really knows whether it involves a ghost, or an actual murderer. Whatever it is,when you are traveling along Karak highway, don't stop for any chance. The best don't travel alone or at night.
  • 5. The call to the radio station

      • Bc98
    • One night, a local radio station received a chilling call from a listener. The deejay listened attentively as the man on the line told his story. He said he was driving on the highway and met with a horrible accident. His car fell down a ravine by the highway. In the car with him were his mother, father, wife and children. He sounded depressed, speaking of how he saw his family members die. The saddest thing, he said, was that he saw himself die. Then, the line went dead. The radio deejay tried calling back, but to no avail. He and most of the radio listeners, brushed it off as a prank call.
    • On the very next day, newspapers reported that there was an accident at the very same location where the man on the line had mentioned. A car fell into the ravine by the Karak Highway, a couple, their parents and children all died in the crash. The details matched the story told by the mysterious man.
    • Legend says the radio deejay rushed back to the office to listen to the recording of that call, but all that was left on the tape was eerie silence.

How to become millionaire before 30?

Here are the 10 steps that will guarantee you will become a millionaire by 30.
1. Follow the money. In today’s economic environment you cannot save your way to millionaire status. The first step is to focus on increasing your income in increments and repeating that. My income was $3,000 a month and nine years later it was $20,000 a month. Start following the money and it will force you to control revenue and see opportunities.
2. Don’t show off -- show up! I didn’t buy my first luxury watch or car until my businesses and investments were producing multiple secure flows of income. I was still driving a Toyota Camry when I had become a millionaire. Be known for your work ethic, not the trinkets that you buy.
3. Save to invest, don’t save to save. The only reason to save money is to invest it.  Put your saved money into secured, sacred (untouchable) accounts. Never use these accounts for anything, not even an emergency. This will force you to continue to follow step one (increase income). To this day, at least twice a year, I am broke because I always invest my surpluses into ventures I cannot access.
4. Avoid debt that doesn’t pay you. Make it a rule that you never use debt that won’t make you money. I borrowed money for a car only because I knew it could increase my income. Rich people use debt to leverage investments and grow cash flows. Poor people use debt to buy things that make rich people richer.
5. Treat money like a jealous lover. Millions wish for financial freedom, but only those that make it a priority have millions. To get rich and stay rich you will have to make it a priority. Money is like a jealous lover. Ignore it and it will ignore you, or worse, it will leave you for someone who makes it a priority.
6. Money doesn’t sleep. Money doesn’t know about clocks, schedules or holidays, and you shouldn’t either. Money loves people that have a great work ethic. When I was 26 years old, I was in retail and the store I worked at closed at 7 p.m. Most times you could find me there at 11 p.m. making an extra sale. Never try to be the smartest or luckiest person -- just make sure you outwork everyone.
7. Poor makes no sense. I have been poor, and it sucks. I have had just enough and that sucks almost as bad. Eliminate any and all ideas that being poor is somehow OK. Bill Gates has said, "If you’re born poor, it’s not your mistake. But if you die poor, it is your mistake."
8. Get a millionaire mentor. Most of us were brought up middle class or poor and then hold ourselves to the limits and ideas of that group. I have been studying millionaires to duplicate what they did. Get your own personal millionaire mentor and study them. Most rich people are extremely generous with their knowledge and their resources.
9. Get your money to do the heavy lifting. Investing is the Holy Grail in becoming a millionaire and you should make more money off your investments than your work. If you don’t have surplus money you won’t make investments. The second company I started required a $50,000 investment. That company has paid me back that $50,000 every month for the last 10 years. My third investment was in real estate, where I started with $350,000, a large part of my net worth at the time. I still own that property today and it continues to provide me with income. Investing is the only reason to do the other steps, and your money must work for you and do your heavy lifting.
10. Shoot for $10 million, not $1 million. The single biggest financial mistake I’ve made was not thinking big enough. I encourage you to go for more than a million. There is no shortage of money on this planet, only a shortage of people thinking big enough.
Apply these 10 steps and they will make you rich. Steer clear of people that suggest your financial dreams are born of greed. Avoid get-rich-quick schemes, be ethical, never give up, and once you make it, be willing to help others get there too.

This Teen Paid for College by Selling on Internet. Here Are 5 Ways She Did It.

This Teen Paid for College by Selling on Etsy. Here Are 5 Ways She Did It.

LeiLei Secor, 19, lives in upstate New York but goes to college at the University of Virginia, which means she’s paying out-of-state tuition. Even with a scholarship, the cost of her education is high -- around $40,000 a year. Though she hasn’t declared a major yet, she plans to apply to the school’s business program. The plan is to concentrate on economics and foreign affairs if she doesn’t get in but given Secor’s business acumen, rejection seems unlikely.
In three years, this teenager has used her artistry, marketing abilities and time-management skills to rake in $100,000 on Etsy selling handmade jewelry on her shop DesignedByLei. Think: dainty layered necklaces, statement pendants, knuckle rings and her latest obsession: wire jewelry. Not only does it provide a creative escape from schoolwork but also is a way for Secor to pay for college tuition. Because of her achievements, Secor received the National Federation of Independent Businesses’ Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2014 and recently was able to launch her own website.
It would be nice to have a little extra cash coming in, wouldn’t it? Luckily, Secor offered up some advice on how to tip the scales of fortune in your favor using online sales platforms like Etsy.
Here are her five best tips:

1. Don’t be afraid to pivot.

Secor joined Etsy in the summer of 2012 and tried to sell beaded macramé bracelets. When buyers failed to take notice, she took a different approach. “It didn’t sell, so I quickly changed to wire-wrap jewelry a week later,” she said. The new designs quickly caught on. Now, her wares are highly rated on Craftcount, a site that tracks Etsy top sellers by category. (Currently, she is ranked 186 out of more than 1,300 Etsy stores)

2. Branch out from the well-worn path.

It’s common knowledge that social-media marketing is a must-have strategy. While Facebook and Twitter might be the first sites to come to mind, they’re hardly your only options. For Secor, the biggest website was Wanelo, a community platform for shoppers. Thousands saw her products on this site, while Facebook didn’t generate much traffic for her because she doesn’t pay for ads. “Another big one was Tumblr,” she says. “One of my rings got reblogged about 50,000 times.” Meanwhile, Pinterest hasn’t been as effective. Go where your customers are and use what works for you, even if it’s not what you expect.

3. The difference is in the details.

Handmade jewelry is a very crowded industry, especially for online sellers. Secor knew she had to stand out in a big way and managed to do so by focusing on small details. “A lot of jewelry looks similar but the way it’s marketed and photographed is what makes or breaks it on Etsy,” she says. She learned that the best way to photograph jewelry is under natural light on a cloudy day because there won’t be a shadow in the picture. Using a simple piece of scrapbooking paper for a plain background, she takes pictures of her products on her porch -- both of the item itself and of her wearing it. Taking the time to learn what makes the jewelry looks best means it’ll be more attractive to potential customers. It’s a small step that makes a big difference.

4. Use the resources you have and learn from others.

Three years ago, Secor didn’t have a high school diploma, much less a business degree. She had the Internet, though, and she used that to her advantage.
“One of the most important things is the ability to be resourceful, she says. “My parents don’t have business backgrounds, so I had to spend hours and hours online researching about it. Etsy has a great forum community, and I read ecommerce blogs [and articles about] how to photograph jewelry and name your company.”
There’s plenty of information out there, but you have to look for it first. When she wasn’t sure what to charge for her jewelry, she looked at what similar items sold for and priced her creations at a similar amount.

5. Use your time wisely.

In addition to attending classes and making jewelry, Secor spends time with friends, manages to get some sleep and works a summer job for her local congressman (because running your own business doesn’t count as a job?). She does it all by using her time wisely. “Rather than scroll through Facebook aimlessly, I’ll upload photos to Instagram,” she says. When she needed a study break during finals week, she filled orders. She’s able to keep a balance and find joy in the work. In fact, she has no plans to stop. “I want to continue making jewelry and selling it because I honestly enjoy making it,” she says. “It’s a job, but it’s a nice break from schoolwork.”

Tourists stripped on peak of Mount Kinabalu blamed for major earthquake?

Why would anyone take their clothes off for a holiday snap? How small are these people's lives that they have to go commando just to have something to post on their social media account? Being at the top of a mountain in Malaysia isn't good enough? Now you have to be naked while you're up there??

Kota Kinabalu and parts of Sabah hit by strong earthquake 6.0 magnitude

Here are some pictures of Sabah's strongest earthquake so far. May God bless them and save Malaysia. We are near the end of time.
